Adam Bird
Since you demonstrated the curiosity to actually read about me, I'll reciprocate the courtesy of your attention with some information.
Given that this is my professional website, it seems relevant that I should, at least for a moment, talk about what I do. I have been lucky enough to have photography introduce me to musicians, presidents, the sidelines of sporting events and some pretty incredible scenery and moments, spread over seven or eight countries and a couple continents. I have not the words to express my appreciation to all of the people who have supported me and made my life possible. You know who you are, and I I hope that I've expressed this adequately in person.
But I don't always work, as much as it may appear that way. I wrench on cars for fun (they're usually more predictable then people) and when I can, I make furniture, until I lost access to my woodshop. If you've got one to share, let me know, I miss the zen of woodworking.
In addition to cars and furniture, I love to think, to mull. I know it sounds strange. When I'm off the clock I'm a big picture thinker, I love discovering new currents in thought, pretty much anything from mathematics to global politics to artificial intelligence to making the perfect Singapore Sling (it's a drink, and it's amazing).. All of these are things that I can do to keep dreaming: Of the different ways our world can change, sometimes good and sometimes bad, sometimes maybe a role that I can play. Everything starts with a dream.
Forgive me for leaving out the usual family, politics and religion that often pepper vanity biographies. If you come to the studio to share coffee or a beer you can learn that kind of detail in person, our door is always open to open people. [o]
